Your Personal Preserve

On the edge of one of the last small communities in Ada County, lies a preserve. Beyond the cookie cutter subdivisions and farmland, Denali Heights preserves the true meaning of neighborhood - in style. Come and...

  • Cool off in the COMMUNITY POOL
  • Schedule your next party in the CLUBHOUSE
  • Stroll down the quiet tree lined street
  • Rest on a park bench
  • Take the kids to play in the CITY PARK across the street
  • Enjoy the seclusion of the grassy burms

Come and create a personal preserve on your own SPACIOUS LOT*.

*Lot sizes range from approximatley 1/4 acre to over 1/2 acre and start from aprox. $80,000.
Homes starting in the low $300,000s

Community Progress
And They're Off...
Main / Community Connection

Ever since the red tape was broken, there has been an amazing amount of actvity at Denali Heights.

Just driving around the community, it is impressive to see all of the homes under some phase of construction. After only just over one month, there are currently about 25 homes under construction.

I had a discussion with one of the concrete guys from Mudd Inc. and he said that there is currently more concrete going into our little patch of earth than anywhere else in the Treasure Valley. There are some foundations being poured, some that are just starting framing, and some that even have windows and most of their siding on. I will post pictures soon, so keep checking back.

If you haven't had a chance to drive around, I would recomend that you do that. You will be awe struck!

Right now, there is so much interest in lots and homes it is hard to keep up. If you are considering moving to Denali Heights, give Brandon Hunt a call now before all of the lots are snapped up!

Keep checking the blog for more progress reports...

About the pool...
I understand that the pool is to be moved. In all the conversations I have had with people about the existing pool everybody agrees they would like to see a larger, more functional pool. Is this something we can discuss as home owners in the community before construcion on the new pool starts? This is a big selling point for this community. Let's make sure we get something residents are in favor of and that prospective residents can look at and get excited about.

Cookie cutter homes......
It is my understanding that a plan was submitted for review to the ACC which had already been used twice. So, the ACC denied the plan....in other words, they did the right thing. Didn't we all vote that no more than TWO homes would be the same? As it turns out, the builder just changed the elevation and re-submitted the plans. This time they were accepted. I understand that from the street, no one will be able to tell the difference. BUT, as soon as you walk through the door, it will be obvious that the house is the same. This now makes three of the same in Denali Heights. Just because I dye my hair and put on a different jacket, I'm still the same person. And this is still the same house. Obviously I am more emotional about this than maybe the rest of you will be, because it's my house we're talking about. I am just making a plea to the ACC to reject any plans that come through from here on out that are the same as this particular florr plan, EVEN if the outside is different. PLEASE!

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. Maybe I'm being unreasonable.

Thanks,
Meeka Kay

Re:And They're Off...
My very kind and loving neighbors informed me that I was, in fact, being unreasonable. This third house doesn't have the little office off of the back, like ours does. So, technically it isn't the same floor plan.

Sorry to rant and rave over something that apparantly isn't really an issue.

Happy building everyone!

Re:And They're Off...
We have talked it over about the pool with others as well. We all feel that a rectangular pool would be better and making it a little longer is good for the old folks like us. The parents are the one that are buying the homes, so let's please them.

Meeka - we understand and know that things will be good.

Re:And They're Off...
This is my official opology to the ACC. I made my builder show me the plans on that third house, and they really are different. He kept telling me it was the same house, but it is significantly "tweeked". Sorry ACC....next time I'll trust you that you know what you're doing.

About the pool....we'd like to see it bigger, too.

Thanks

Re:And They're Off...
So I would like to know if the rest of you have received the letter from the city that states that there will be no occupancy permits issued by the city because the state plumbing inspector will not sign off on it because of a improperly installed backflow valve. I have not gotten any comments from Brandon on what Burke is doing to fix the issue. I hope that you all understand that if your house finishes you will not be able to move into it until this issue is fixed. It has been weeks since I got the letter, which I think is enough time to as least see some steps being taken to correct the situation. As I understand it the City is not driving this issue but the State is (both the Plumbing inspector and DEQ). Personally I would like some answers and timelines for getting this issue fixed. Since it will not be fun to be making payments on a house that we cannot occupy.

Also I agree on the pool that Both my wife and I thought the pool would be bigger, with 84 house and the amount of kids that will be in the subdivision the small pool that is there now will not accommodate everyone on hot summer days.

Looking forward to being finished soon and living in the new house.

Re:And They're Off...
I am also concerned about the letter from the city. I plan on having my home complete mid May. The city has taken the initiative to notify us but no one from Denali has mentioned it at all. Is it being handled? We need an update.
Also, has there been any discussion on a rec room of any sort in the clubhouse. Many nicer communities have them, even alot of Hubble subs do. Anyone else in favor?

Re:And They're Off...
Meeka, Who is your builder? I know there is two of my houses being built in there also, just currious. Slightly different floor plans and we changed our exterior also to not resemble the one already built.

Re:And They're Off...
Hey Everyone, my roof blew off the other day. If you find it on your property please return it to me. Thanks
